Candle and Light

Lighter and candle,
the spark and its keeper
The love that they have,
is pulling them deeper

Deeper into a passionate state,
where candle and lighter
had much to create

Within a few weeks,
the fluid was gone
The one thing that
was keeping them strong

Lighter and candle,
together no more
What they had together,
they chose to ignore

So both are left empty,
candle and light
Hoping that one day,
again they'll ignite
